Please always remember that the conversion rate of currency keeps fluctuating. Always show funds in excess of the required funds to tide over any such future fluctuations. Also, remember that any money that comes into Canada that is in excess of 10000 CAD per person needs to be mandatorily declared at customs check point as otherwise it is a criminal offence. This amount is not restricted to cash alone but includes bonds, cheques, banker’s cheques, traveller’s cheques, treasury bills and many more such instruments.
